500 Days of Summer or How is this what indie rom-coms look like now?

I am getting very excited about this movie, and I don't know why. The two stars have never really been my thing but the quirky premise and this teaser trailer have me enthralled. But I'm thinking this might just be a bit too emo, indie, Sundancey even for my own good.
