Desperate Housewives, 30 Rock and Pushing Daisies were absolutely brilliant last year and definitely Emmy worthy. I heart Ugly Betty, but it's really at its best when it's focused on characters rather than plot (and I totally second your FYC of Ana Ortiz and Becki Newton- Vanessa Williams isn't the only brilliant support on that show). Unfortunately, I've given up on HIMYM a couple of seasons ago, before it was cool. NPH was great when I watched it, but the rest was so aimless and the how Ted met the mother plot got old quickly. The only episodes I saw this season were the ones when Britney Spears guest starred because I wanted to support her comeback.
