I have yet to make up my mind about True Blood. I came into the first episode thinking: "Whoa! This is going to be some sub-par Buffy rip off, HBO-style!" and came out thinking "Whoa! This was a sub-par Buffy episode 'Earshot' mixed in with racial/sexual politics, HBO-style!"
That said, give me Ryan Kwanten naked in 95% of his on-screen time, and I'm a happy camper:
Seriously, not since Queer As Folk have I seen an hour-long drama relish so much seeing its male actors be naked and having sex. Oh Aussies...

I concur that Ryan Kwanten is a redeeming quality in True Blood.
I came into the series to see something vampire-related other than the Twilight books/movie that are being shoved down our throats. It's much more interesting than the PG-rated Twilight story lines... vampires are supposed to be sexy (hello, David Borneaz?).
